Install the update
Download and open the file
Tap Download Android update above. When the download finishes, tap the file to open it. You can also find it in your phone’s Downloads folder.
Allow installation, if asked
Tap Settings, switch on Allow from this source, then go back to the installation screen. If permission is already allowed, skip this step.
If Play Protect asks to scan
Look for More info or More details. If it offers Install without scanning, tap that option, then confirm the warning to proceed.
Button names vary by phone. If you cannot find this option or installation is blocked, contact Mal using the address below.
Finish and open Casework
Tap Install or Update if prompted. When installation finishes, tap Open.
Need help?
If the update will not install, email mal@h26.co.uk with your phone model and a screenshot of the message. Leave your existing Casework app installed.
Where is the downloaded file?
Open Downloads in your browser or your phone’s Files app. Look for the file starting with casework and ending in .apk.
How do I get the next update?
Use this same page when Mal lets you know an update is ready. Updates from this page are installed manually.
